Lasting Weep
Le Spectacle De L'albatros
Lasting Weep is one of the formative groups of the Québec progressive scene, consisting of Jerôme Langlois and Alain Bergeron who were later to co-found Maneige, as well as Claude Chapleau on bass and Mathieu Legere on drums and percussion. While the group was together they worked on an epic called 'Albatros' which was performed in concert and would last up to 40 minutes. After leaving Maneige, Langlois completed this epic and recorded it live several times with members of Maneige, Lasting Weep, and various Québec luminaries including Raoul Duguay, and the result was finally released in 2007 as 'Le Spectacle De L'Albatros'. This later work is very much in line with the best Maneige albums.
