Mediocampo

originally released in 1984 and now back on vinyl, 'Mediocampo' is the fifth album by influential Uruguayan musician Jaime Roos. It's the conclusiopn of an unintentional trilogy that began with 'Aquello' in 1981 and continued with 1982's 'Siempre Son Las Cuatro'. This groundbreaking album is a genuine classic, perhaps the most prestigious and best-known work of his discography. 'Mediocampo' is as daring and experimental as Jaime's previous two works, but with much more direct and accessible communication, achieving an almost perfect distillation of his artistic vision. Today, many of its songs are an essential part of Montevideo's cultural soundtrack.
