Acabou Chorare
Repress! A vinyl reissue of 'Acabou Chorare' ('No More Crying' in English), the second album by the Brazilian group Novos Baianos. The album was originally released in 1972 by Som Livre, following the group's rather successful debut 'Ferro Na Boneca' (1970). The group was influenced by samba and bossa, adopted the expressive guitar of Jimi Hendrix and the Brasilidade of Assis Valente, and was also heavily influenced by Joao Gilberto, who served as the group's mentor during the recording sessions.
