Lee, Rita -& Tutti Frutti-/pete Dunaway
Agora E Moda/supermarket
Wonderful repress of Rita Lee & Tutti Frutti's 'Agora E Moda' - a psychedelic, disco-boogie-groove monster, originally released on her 1978 'Babilônia' LP. Rita Lee was lead singer of Os Mutantes and a hugely important figure in the Tropicalia movement. She remains one of the biggest personalities in Brazil, much loved both in and out of the music world. Pete Dunaway's 'Supermarket' is a Rare Groove/AOR masterpiece with a killer bassline and drums a-planty, heavily string laden and with English vocals! A lovely oddity. Pete Dunaway, real name Otavio Cardosa, was a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist from Sao Paulo, who spent the majority of his time composing TV themes and library instrumentals.
