Horn
Daudswiark
'Daudswiärk' is Horn's 10th studio album, following the 20th anniversary of the black metal project. Stylistically, 'Daudswiärk' - "Work of Death" in the Low German variant formerly spoken in the Münsterland region - takes a few steps back in time after the rather experimental, multi-instrumental folk-influenced album 'Verzet,' reverting to the basic metal instruments, resulting in a concise, fast and short full-length album devoid of intros, outros or interludes. It features a very somber overarching tone compared to the rather upbeat Horn albums of the last years - blast beats, scattered dystopian synths, a heavy shift towards extreme vocals instead of clean ones. The output was produced by M. Stock (Empyrium/The Vision Bleak/Sun of the Sleepless) at the renowned Studio E2 and features a rough and dense sound heavily favoring the bass guitar and drum work.
