Skadis Odem
Nachwachsender Mensch
Skadis Odem is a band located near Nuremberg at the edge of the Franconian Switzerland, originally founded back in 2000 which finally releases its debut 'Nachwachsender Mensch.' The band's name has been derived from "Skadi," the nordic winter goddess and "Odem," the old poetic meaning of the word "breath." Mika Wilhelmson, the main man behind Skadis Odem, draws his inspiration from fairy tales, stories and poems of his grandfather, based on a fraternal Europe, German poems and myths, nature, romanticism and a deep antipathy against politics and the modern world. Musicalwise 'Nachwachsender Mensch' deeply roots in traditional German neofolk and bands like Belborn, Werkraum or Dies Natalis, complemented by samples and various flutes and the female voice of Nelinka Hrafnsdóttir. The album consists of nine emotional songs that lead back to the old glory days of German neofolk with hymns like 'Sonnwendfeuer' and 'Frühlingsreigen.'

Laine, Pekka -& The Enchanted-
In Slumberland (black)
For Pekka Laine, the twang of an electric guitar is not a warm blanket of nostalgia. Instead, the echoing sound usually associated with surf and retro instrumentals is a ticket to the imaginary. On this sonic journey, Laine is joined by The Enchanted, his powerhouse live band that has taken both festival and club stages by storm. Pekka Laine and his trusty space-age guitar take the listener to a place where a futuristic and humid disco sound, perfect with obese beats and robotic vocals, reigns supreme. Trippy vocoder vocals and Moog wizardry are provided by Antti Vuorenmaa, the synth sensei associated with several leading Finnish indie bands and a trusted member of the extended Enchanted family.

GARAGE/BEAT/SURF/ROCK’N’ROLL
Masonics
I Got It All Ep
The Masonics are still the Kings Of Medway Beat, and are known for being 'the best Rhythm and Beat combo since The Milkshakes,' and there's a very good reason for that... With Mickey Hampshire (The Milkshakes, Mickey & The Salty Seadogs, Mickey And Ludella, Mick Hampshire), Bruce Brand (The Pop Rivets, The Milkshakes, Auntie Vegetable, Thee Headcoats, The Kravin' "A"s, The Clique, Dutronc, The Voo-Dooms and more) and John Gibbs (The Wildebeests, The Kaisers), this Medway-based trio have got enough rhythm'n'beat and rock'n'roll in their blood streams to power any rocket! Since 1991, The Masonics have been raising roofs all across the land, and disturbing audio grooves on at least nine studio albums and nine singles. There's no stopping them! During 2022, the group joined The 5.6.7.8's on their five-night UK tour, and then again in October 2023 on a ten-night tour of Japan. Amongst all that, they have also released two 7" EPs, a first-time-on-vinyl edition of their 'Outside Looking In' album (originally released on CD in 2004), a new studio album ('Sursum Tibiam Vestram'), and a joint 7" EP with The 5.6.7.8's. The Masonics have got it all! Well, they have now! This 7" EP, titled 'I Got It All,' sees a further four songs, recorded at Ranscombe Studios in the heart of Medway, with that sure fire energy that shows there's definitely no stopping them! Limited to 500 copies. Have you got it all?
Link Quartet
Green Puma/tropical Dandy
The Link Quartet formed way back in 1993, and over the years have built a worldwide reputation and have become a most distinguished band related to the Hammond organ sound. Italy based, The Link Quartet have produced a unique mix of funk, beat, rock and soul, strongly tied to the glorious bands of the past, but fully looking forward towards the future for a modern unmistakable touch. The band have consistently worked hard in the studio, and have released ten studio albums, several singles and EP's, and appeared on some heavy weight compilations throughout the last two decades, working with labels such as Acid Jazz, Record Kicks, Hammond Beat, Sony, Soundflat and many more. On the live side, the band have performed almost all over the world, sharing the stage with artists such as Brian Auger, The Music Machine, Manu Chao, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, Charles Bradley, Big Boss Man and more, and have also performed at various festivals globally. In November 2018 the band decided on the idea to release a live album recorded in the studio, during a three-day event. The event took place at Tanzan Music Studio, which resulted in the 'Secret Sessions' live studio album, containing all the best tracks of the Italian combo, performed live and recorded as never before. The album was released in 2019 on Spinout Nuggets. The band followed up with the 'The Saint-Tropez Heist' 7" single in 2021. The Link Quartet are now back in action with a new twin-spin single. With respect to two characters in Piacenza, firstly 'Green Puma' gives respect to an old hi-fi technician, who works from his apartment, welcoming you with white overalls that makes him look like a technician from '60s Cape Canaveral. 'Tropical Dandy' refers to a cultural organizer, who is always dressed to impress! Limited to 500 copies.

Nurse With Wound
Merzbild Schwet (black)
'Merzbild Schwet,' the second album opus released in 1980, is considered one of Nurse With Wound's major releases, and is part of the famous 'Silver Edition' series on Rotorelief Records, with a luxurious chrome-plated cover in double gatefold sleeves, and sumptuous 200g vinyl discs issued in 700 copies on black vinyl. The track 'Futurismo' begins with clanking rhythms, record skip clicks, and horn riffs before veering off into a crazed quilt of women singing, laughing, and talking in French. About halfway through, wild screeches of distortion disrupt the piece, and then more bizarre sounds take over before the piece ends with a collage of over modulated electronic hum and rambling piano. The other cut, 'Dada X,' goes further into weirdness with lots of silences, creepy creaking noises, tones that build up and collapse, and scattered spoken word in French and English from Eve Libertine from the political punk band Crass, and the piece certainly lives up to the Dada of its title.

Opium Warlords
Strength! (2lp/black)
Opium Warlords, led by Sami Albert "Witchfinder" Hynninen (Reverend Bizarre, The Puritan, The Candles Burning Blue), return with their sixth album 'Strength!' It is a versatile but tight combination of pussy techno, sludge, industrial pop, hardcore punk, drone, shamanistic pulse, noise, heavy metal, old school gothic rock and march music. It is a take on European rhythmic patterns: stagnant factory beat - no groove, no swing, just a rhythm of industrialism that pierces through different genres and styles. Comparing to the dark and oppressive 'Nembutal' (2020), 'Strength!' is significantly more light-hearted, with its postmodern lyrics emitting from sources such as shampoo bottles and television UFO series to the Pan-Europa myth or morbid lore of death-hungry Transylvanian Iron Guard. However, the sting of irony and sarcasm is balanced with more serious subjects: 'Strength!' is a hate/love letter to Europe and a self-reflection on Machiavellian and Nietzschean philosophies of strength and elitism. True to the band's soul everything is covered with pure toxic misanthropy.

Fevre, Bernard
Space Oddities 1976-1985
Among the figureheads of French disco, Bernard Fèvre, better known as Black Devil, probably had the shortest-lived career but was the most brilliant and unique mind of them all. Although his first album 'Disco Club,' released in 1978, went unnoticed at first, it has since become a must-have, a collector's item which has led a lot of listeners to further investigate into his extensive work. From rock music to music hall, sound illustration to disco, pop to reggae, through film music and advertising, Bernard Fèvre has experimented with so many genres that it has been hard not to lose track. One of his best albums even has such an unambivalent title as 'The Strange World Of Bernard Fèvre.' Please make your way to a cosmic dimension, verging on the unknown.
