PSYCHEDELIC/PROGRESSIVE/FOLK
Child Of Panoptes
Un Petit Morceau De Buvard
Child Of Panoptes is a collaboration between several French musicians gathering around Alexandre Besson, drummer in Le Chiffre Organ-Ization. Their music is influenced by late '60s UK freakbeat, US garage, and psychedelia. After a first single in 2021 and a LP on Soundflat Records in 2023, Rogue Records is very proud to release this EP. It features two of Alexandre's works, 'Un Petit Morceau De Buvard' and 'Love,' plus two covers of The Fox and Andy Forray. Enter the pop and psychedelic universe of Child Of Panoptes!
Crystal Teardrop
Running Out Of Time/apres Jeudi
Inspired by the sights, sounds and creative experimentation of the mid to late 1960s, The Crystal Teardrop, with their distinctive blend of garage rock and psychedelia, came together in early 2023. Based in Stoke on Trent, England the band have quickly gained a reputation for their high energy live performances and this release is their 2nd single. 'Running Out Of Time' is a powerful garage fuzzer featuring layered harmonies, classic Farfisa and razor sharp guitar while 'Après Jeudi' is a heavy dancer inspired by the band's love for yé yé, Jacques Dutronc and The MC5.
Methuselah
Matthew, Mark, Luke And John
Obscure psychedelic gospel act Methuselah had its roots in Scunthorpe 'Beat' group the Dimples, which became Gospel Garden, whose only 45 infused northern soul with psych leanings. Regrouping as Methuselah, the group signed to Elektra for this sole religious rock concept LP, their sound deceptively American, with vocal harmonies evidencing bluegrass influences; guitarist Les Nicol is never short of excellent. Certain members would later form Amazing Blondel, but 'Matthew, Mark, Luke And John' has a unique flavour, and this edition includes two rare bonus tracks. This slice of obscure psych must be heard to be believed!
Tir Na Nog
Transmissions
Influential Irish prog-folk duo Tir na nOg (comprising songwriters Leo O'Kelly and Sonny Condell) produced three classic alt-folk-fringed albums at the start of the 1970s, then split. 'Transmissions', recorded at the height of their powers, comprises recordings made for radio broadcasts. Using the latest audio technology, Mega Dodo removed the presenter spoken voiceovers to present a more enjoyable listening experience. Side one features six songs recorded in the studio and includes their unique reading of Bob Dylan's 'Maggie's Farm.' Side two was recorded in concert and shows why Tir na nOg was such an in-demand live attraction. 'Transmissions' is confirmation that Tir na nOg was responsible for making stylish, powerful, and category-defying electro-acoustic music. The LP is a limited pressing of 250 copies.
Maragda
Tyrants (black)
'Tyrants' follows their successful self-titled debut album from 2020, their stand-alone single 'New New World' from 2021 and their live EP 'The Reckless/Evil Seed' from 2023. In this new musical journey, Maragda take the listeners in introspective topics ranging from self-imposed limitations to the fight for values, love, hope and farewells. All of this unfolds in a hypothetical fantasy universe, where psychedelia and progressive rock continuously merge, adding other styles like garage. Recorded and mixed at Big Snuff Studios in Germany with Richard Behrens, who has worked with bands such as Elder or Kadavar, and mastered at Black Box Studios in France with Motorpsycho's engineer Peter Deimel. Limited to 100 copies on black vinyl.
Moura
Fume Santo De Loureiro
Psych-prog-folk rockers Moura are back with 'Fume Santo De Loureiro,' their most experimental release to date. The EP consists of three main songs, accompanied by an introduction and small cuts of incidental music that showcase the band's more experimental side. It's a dark album where traditional vocals and percussion guide through the process of loss: progressive chants create hypnotic mantras against the evil eye; and lullabies turn into ghostly laments. Limited to 500 hand-numbered copies on transparent vinyl with silk-screen printing on one side.
GARAGE/BEAT/SURF/ROCK’N’ROLL
Quarter Wolf
Live At Last Train
Quarter Wolf is a Norwegian-Australian punkblues/garage rock duo. Famed and feared for their savage and sweaty shows, high volume and low morale, this dirty on the inside and outside duo are sure to leave any audience all shook up. With six releases in the bag, they are now ready to release their seventh, and this time you can hear them as they sound live! 'Live At Last Train' is the first ever live album from the 40 years old famous rockpub Last Train in Oslo/Norway. For fans of Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, The Sonics, The Cramps etc.
Thelin, Arne
Podgorica 2023
Arne Thelin about the album: "Depression. The great, indefinable darkness, nothing that hits many without them even knowing it."
Thelin-dahlmann Exploitation
Can't Take It Anymore
7" vinyl single with gatefold cover including a CD with bonustrack. Norway's number 1 virtual hatpop duo. The project consists of Arne Thelin, Norway's uncrowned garage rock king and former vocalist in Cosmic Dropouts, Lust-O-Rama, Kwyet Kings, Bithammer! and DANG!! and André Dahlmann, commander of Norway's best powerpunk pop band The Dahlmanns. André plays guitar, bass and more guitar, recorded in the stairwell at home in Moss. Arne is responsible for vocals, sampling, mixing and production done in his homestudio at home in Podgorica, Montenegro. TDX is by far the best rock you can squeeze out of a non-existent band.
Coral Fuzz
Fata Morgana
4th release by Greek Label Sunnyboy66 Records. Limited to 300 copies on fantastic purple colour! Insert with liner notes included. Coral Fuzz uniquely combine the surf garage of the sixties with melodic neo-psychedelic riffs and obvious influences from the Kinks, the Trashmen, the legendary Beach Boys, to today's Allah Las, the Mystic Braves and the Growlers. They perfectly maintain the vintage aesthetic, while creating a distinct fresh sound, full of intensity and energy from start to finish.
Shakin' Suits
Shake, Shake, Shakin' Suits! (10")
Jump blues and western swing made in Austria - that's The Shakin' Suits! Founded in 2019, the four-piece band creates its authentic sound in the style of the great masters of the '40s and '50s with a lot of passion and groove. Two guitars, double bass, drums and a great swinging voice - that's all it takes to make the audience jump up. Because when the first chords are struck, everyone wants only one thing: shake, shake, shake!
Burgos, Wild Bob
Ride On Rebels
A new fine piece on vinyl on Plan 9 Trash Records: Wild Bob Burgos, The Tattoed Sledgehammer of Rock'n'Roll - The association between Wild Bob Burgos and rock'n'roll goes back more than three decades. Bob, who is of Spanish extraction, grew up in South East London, England and by the mid sixties he had taken up playing drums - but before he could get started professionally, he met up with a local tattooist, who asked Bob to work with him in his tattoo shop at weekends. Bob's main ambition was to play in a rock'n'roll/rhythm & blues band, but he needed to make some money to buy himself an instrument and somehow bought a guitar and then later a cheap drum kit. Bob did so well in the tattoo shop, he was asked to work there more and more. And whilst waiting for the customers, they ended up tattooing themselves for practice. Bob finally left the tattooing business to concentrate on his musical career, as he had now bought himself an instrument, covered himself with tattoos, and was ready for the road to rock'n'roll.
POP/ROCK/WAVE/NOISE
Daman Shurek
Sunshine
Daman Shurek is a rock trio that sounds a bit like a smoked couch from the '90s that has been burned up and pissed on, and attempted to be restored without success. A little charm, a little disgusting and thoroughly delicious. Drawing inspiration from Pissed Jeans, Jesus Lizard and Liam Gallagher, the gang in Daman Shurek, who really hate each other, have been trying to make rock. It sounds like a stew of fuzz, mold in the wall and noise (of the good kind!).
Mullen, Lily
Lily Mullen Is Here
The debut solo album by Lily Mullen, a songwriter/poet in her early 20s, residing in Northwest Oregon. Lily was born with Down Syndrome and is a fierce advocate for disability justice and other underrepresented voices. This album has a playful and magical quality - like found in the self-contained worlds of the Raincoats or the Slits. There are both rockers and ballads - with echoes of the Velvet Underground and Modern Lovers. Folky and poetic songs à la Patti Smith, Nico or Neil Young. Songs that vocally AND musically evoke Mark E. Smith and The Fall. Of course, those are all just reference points! Lily's voice is unique and original and forging new and beautiful artistic territory. Clever wordplay, cosmic themes, surrealist poetry, heart on sleeve laments, tearjerkers - this album has it all. Recorded at Sonic Lodge in Eugene, Oregon by Justin Higgins. Musical contributions from Chris Gunn (Lavender Flu), Miranda Soileau-Pratt (Spatulas), Scott Simmons (Lavender Flu), Kate Williams and Justin Higgins. Be wild. Be free. Experience Lily!
Three Second Kiss
From Fire I Save The Flame
'From Fire I Save The Flame' is the seventh and long-awaited work by Three Second Kiss, a power trio with a long history of international collaborations (Steve Albini and June Of 44 above all), also distributed back at the time by Southern and Dischord records. 9 tracks (+ 2 instrumental intermissions) released by Overdrive records, filling a recording silence that lasted 12 years, thus rekindling that electric fire that has sculpted the sound of the band over the years, made of dynamic connections between bass and drums, and piercing and emotional guitars. 'From Fire I Saved The Flame' delivers us a series of even more fluid and lyrical songs, a tense and inspired composition, vibrant with a renewed energy that feeds on opposites: tension and release, melody and dissonance, heart and brain. And for the occasion the trio wanted Don Zientara at the mixer to best capture this new state of form. Who better than the sound engineer of Fugazi and many Dischord bands could make the sound of Three Second Kiss so vivid!
PUNK/HARDCORE
Gottemia
Eternal Sunshine Of A Rotten Mind
If Poison Idea, Dead Moon, NoMeansNo, Rancid, Beach Boys, Phil Spector and Joe Meek had a child sometime in the '80s and subjected him to gross neglect, the child would probably make something that sounds like this album! The album consists of fuzz, evil and our view of an increasingly shaky world. The album was recorded towards the end of the corona wave, which is evident. Here one can hear songs about mental collapse, New World's Conspiracy Disorder and songs about powerlessness.
Klikk Panikk
Gar Amok
For almost as long, the best ska-punkband in Norway, members have played in various constellations and basements, before the threads were gathered in Klikk Panikk. They throw together references such as The Skatalites, Rancid and Bob Hund, in a boiling hotpot that culminates in a new, distinct and danceable sound.

Merzbow & Nicolas Horvath
Pia-noise
Even the most experienced ear will not come out of 'Pia-Noise' unscathed. Consecrating the meeting of two consummate artists, this release confronts their universe like a massive head-on shock in the eye of a sound storm by which we sometimes feel totally drowned.
New Blockaders/grinder-without-organs/theatrical Panopticon
The Stage As Antiworld (2cd)
This double CD set includes an extended collaboration between The New Blockaders and Grinder-without-Organs, and two live recordings of anti-theatre premiered at Cafe OTO (London, UK) and Audio Foundation (Auckland, NZ). The set also includes a link to access a bonus film and extra, printable material. CD1 features 'Ein Glücklicherer Zufall: Genau Zu Lang' (translated: 'A Happier Accident: Exactly Too Long'), an hour-long part studio/part live collaboration between seminal anti-music stalwarts The New Blockaders, and purveyors of the absurd Grinder-without-Organs. 'Ein Glücklicherer Zufall...' shows a different side to TNB's trademark obliterating noise offensives with a more collaged, musique concrète approach. CD2 opens with G-w-O Live at Cafe OTO - "Showcasing a singer who has no voice, musicians who have no instruments, and a bandleader who has no direction." The set concludes with The Theatrical Panopticon - "A stage play performed in a void infected with accidental somniloquies."
METAL/STONER/HARDROCK
1234!
Kill With Fire
1234! Is a powerfull Norwegian rock'n'roll band, famous for playing high, hard and dirty. The two-piece plays rock'n'roll in its absolute purest form. Bass and drums, four hands in total sync, channeling a very raw feel to their output. 'Killing It With Fire' is their second album, and draws comparison to a wide range of artists, spanning from QOTSA to Motörhead, but still maintaining to keep an honest and catchy sassiness to their well-executed, action-filled sound.
Chain, Paul -& Wino-
Bloodwing/nibiru Dawn (black)
Paul Chain is a legendary weirdo figurehead of the doom scene active as an artist since the late '70s. The first pressing of this collaboration with Wino, who needs no introduction, sold out in days. Mastered for vinyl by Tony Reed. Black vinyl edition of 200 copies.
Dopethrone
Broke Sabbath
First album from Montreal's finest in over 6 years. Punishing and filthy as ever. Comes on black vinyl.
JAZZ/AVANTGARDE
Evans, Bill -& Jim Hall-
Undercurrent (usa)
In 1962, legendary jazz pianist Bill Evans collaborated for the first time on record with jazz guitarist Jim Hall to create the landmark album 'Undercurrent.' And even though it is a two-person improvisational affair, it is almost unfathomable that these two giants alone fill up all the grooves on this record. The thoughtful interplay between these two musicians created such a beautiful, lush, and emotional journey that their work influenced many. At the time of this recording, Bill Evans was one of the top jazz pianists (his performance with Miles Davis on 'Kind Of Blue' is still a high-water mark), but he had stopped performing and recording after the death of his peer, bassist Scott LaFaro. Eventually, he was persuaded to return to music, and this was one of the first recordings upon his return. Guitarist Jim Hall - who had worked with Ella Fitzgerald, Sonny Rollins, and Chico Hamilton - started his partnership with Evans during this time. Recorded over two sessions in April and May 1962, the two have that beautifully unspoken musical language of give and take; their recordings are refreshingly busy but also incredibly sparse. These two giants understand that intertwining their personalities and harmonic styles could create greatness. This notable reissue is an all-analog production affair... AAA mastered and cut live by audio guru Kevin Gray (Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Charles Mingus)... and it never sounded better. So dim the lights and let this music breathe with you; it's an incredible listen and an essential album for both the novice listener wanting to dip their toe into the genre or the audiophile who needs to replace their well-worn vinyl copy. And depending on your day, it will color your mood in any emotive shade you desire.
Vinnegar, Leroy
Glass Of Water
Bassist Leroy Vinnegar has gone down in history as the person who popularised the "walking bass" style in jazz. He was worked with Chet Baker, Eddie Harris, Les McCann, Lee Konitz, and Stan Getz. His milestone 1973 album 'Glass Of Water' featuring Dwight Dickerson on the rhodes and wurlitzer slipped into obscurity shortly after release. However, in recent years it has been rediscovered and has become highly coveted as a grail for crate diggers and jazz collectors worldwide. On High is proud to present the first ever reissue of this long forgotten classic. Remastered and pressed on audiophile virgin vinyl to fully capture the wonderful spacey emotion of Vinnegar's classic LP.
REGGAE/DUB/SKA/ROCKSTEADY
Heptones
Cool Rasta (can)
'Cool Rasta' is an album by The Heptones, which consisted of Earl Morgan, Barry Llewellyn, and Leroy Sibbles. Brought up in the Trench Town area of Kingston, their first successful record was 'Fatty Fatty,' first released in 1966. Since then, they have had several hits including 'Country Boy,' 'Mama Say,' and 'Book Of Rules.' At the guiding hand of top producer, Harry Johnson they recorded 'Cool Rasta,' which came out in 1976. The title track of the album is a typical example of The Heptones at their brilliant best. Remastered and pressed on audiophile virgin vinyl for your listening pleasure.
SOUL/FUNK/LATIN/R&B/GOSPEL
Brown, Mel
Chicken Fat
Reissue of 1967 Impulse Records legendary funk/soul instrumental masterpiece album 'Chicken Fat.' If you haven't heard 'Chicken Fat' yet, get ready because the LP won't leave your turntable until your jaw stops hitting the floor. Sourced from the original analog master tapes by Kevin Grey. All Analog Process (AAA). Initially working as a guitar player for such greats as Sonny Boy Williamson and Etta James, Impulse Records eventually offered Mel Brown the chance to record his own material. Recorded in 1967 in Hollywood, CA, Brown amassed a group of session musicians who had played with Charles Mingus, Marvin Gaye and Dizzy Gillespie. Much of the album was arranged by Oliver Nelson, who worked with Thelonious Monk, Sonny Rollins, Jimmy Smith and more. His touch is felt all over the record and helps solidify the journey. These recording sessions also reflected the Sunset Strip and the energy of late '60s Los Angeles so incredibly, you can almost hear the go-go boots hit the floor to dance til they drop. Comes on orange vinyl.
AFRO-BEAT/FUNK & PSYCH/DESERT BLUES/ETHIOPIQUES

Multumult
Oriental Mirrors/oglinzi Orientale
Multumult, the eclectic musical ensemble from Bucharest, and The Lollipoppe Shoppe are happy to announce the release of their latest album, "Oriental Mirrors." The album combines elements of improvisation, folk, and oriental music and draws its influence from Romanian folk as well as from the region's Ottoman heritage. The album was recorded live at Bucharest's notorious Green Hour Jazz Café in 2016 and captures the dense quality of the group's live performances.
