On this album from 1981, YMO introduced a new way of using samples and loops by cutting sound bites into fragments and reprogramming them with newly available computer technology. Asa result 'Technodelic' is far more experimental than the project's previous albums, and at the same time this fifth album is more minimalistic as well as full of funk and soul.
