No Puberty
No adult bands here, only kids. This first compilation of "teen punk" showcases artists/bands of the late '70s and early '80s comprised of children aged 8 to 16 from countries around the world, including the United States, Sweden, France, Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom. With the exception of Darren Burn's cover 'Quick Joey Small', released in 1974, all the tracks on this compilation were released between 1978 and 1982! This is not a children's record, not a novelty, and not funny either. This is the genuine expression of a snot brat juvenile rebellion of precociously disillusioned young misfits sniffin' glue to pass the time (Shas, Hitler SS, Spurts...), sometimes led and influenced by parents (Unit 3 + Venus, Sheer Smegma), sometimes by a producer (Tommy Rock Junior, Darren Burn). It's raw, it's primitive, it's weird, it's punk! The strangest thing is at the end when you forget that the kids you're listening to are 8-16 years old!
