'Als Die Welt Noch Unterging' (which translates to 'When The World Was Still Ending') is a chronicle of the emergence and development of punk and new wave in German-speaking countries during the years 1979-1984. This compilation is released to accompany the 20th anniversary of the book by Frank Apunkt Schneider, in which he unfolds the history of the German Neue Welle movement as well as the punk underground right through to the regional cassette and fanzine scenes.
