Sans Swing
This band makes no secret of their admiration for mavericks like Conlon Nancarrow and Harry Partch, but they kick off like rebaptized No Wavers. Like Mars and especially the Contortions, only with a straighter swing, well, not that straight. With wild clarinet squeals, ostinato, eggy and also squeaky organ and over-the-top shrieking and barking screaming vocals à la James Chance (quoted after Rigo Dittmann). Their LP 'Sans Swing' contains 16 tracks, recorded by Tobias Levin at Electric Avenue Studio, and mastered by Chris von Rautenkranz.
