Ultravox
Live In Concert 1981 At The Paris Theatre London
Midge Ure led Ultravox at their artistic turning point! This concert was recorded on January 14th, 1981 at Paris Theatre and captures the band at the end of their 'Vienna' tour at the point they were just riding high in the charts with the titular hit single. Highlights here are an especially vigorous 'All Stood Still,' while the performance of 'Mr. X' attains its closest approximation of the Kraftwerk vibe that is its soul and inspiration. Billy Currie's keyboards especially sounds like those used on the 'Man Machine' album. Comes on white vinyl. SIDE 1: 1. New Europeans 2. Passing Strangers 3. Mr X SIDE 2: 1. All Stood Still 2. Sleepwalk 3. Vienna 4. Astradyne
