Julie Tippetts first came to public attention under her maiden name of Julie Driscoll and had enjoyed commercial success with Brian Auger & the Trinity. The DOUBLE-LP 'Shadow Puppeteer' is a suite of compositions and improvisations in which Julie's voice and various instruments (wind chimes, tambourine, mandolin, thumb pianos, zithers and bells) are multi-tracked to showcase the full extent of her powers of expression and imagination.
