Electronic music producer Tarek Zarroug a.k.a. Taroug has his roots in the suburbs of the Tunisian desert but grew up in Germany. On his appealing debut-album, 'Darts & Kites', experimental and abstract soundscapes are enriched by oriental influences, collected field recordings, pulsating dark beats and hypnotic vocals. There are notable guest contributions from Beate Wolff, Benedikt Koch, Timo Schieber, Abdallah Abozekry and Niklas Genschel.
