'Sea' is the 2024 album by Sweet Pete & The Land Band. This collection of songs takes the ocean as its main inspiration. Something dark is afloat in these waters, either your soul is wavering as the unruly sea or you a left adrift on a perilous raft in the middle of the ocean. 'Sea' is dark folk rock that reminds the listener of Townes van Zandt, Gene Clark or David Eugene Edwards, but as is the case with these icons of the genre, the somber tone of the songs is also a celebration of surviving the darkness of life. 'Sea' is part two in a trilogy of country-inspired rock albums released by Sweet Pete & The Land Band. First part 'Land' came out in 2020 and 'Sea' will be followed up by the album 'Air,' which will be the third and final part of the series. Each album delves into a certain atmosphere and a specific collection of stories brought to life by the music.
