'West-Berlin 1981' is an expanded reissue of the 1981 debut-EP by the popular German Neue Welle group. Sprung Aus Den Wolken was part of the early '90s Geniale Dilletanten movement, which also included Einstürzende Neubauten and Mechanik Destruktiw Komandoh. The track 'Pas Attendre' was part of the soundtrack of Wim Wenders' movie 'Der Himmel Über Berlin' and thus became an underground hit.
