Renowned as one of Spain's foremost blues musicians, Felix Slim hails from the North African enclave of Ceuta-Cadiz and currently resides in Brooklyn, New York. A self-taught multi-instrumentalist, he specializes in blues, ragtime, swing, from the 1920s to 1940s. Drawing inspiration from the Delta, Piedmont, and Texas sound, Slim showcases his mastery of slide guitar, fingerpicking, and various tunings. His dynamic renditions of blues classics and original compositions, infused with elements of flamenco, rebetiko, and jazz manouche, have captivated audiences across eight albums and in over fifteen countries and four continents. With his harmonica and kazoo skills, coupled with a unique vocal style, Slim creates a fresh and distinctive vintage sound. His ability to engage and connect with the audience has crafted an enthralling live performance, blending the humor and warmth of his Andalusian roots with the raw essence of blues. Furthermore, Slim showcases his versatility as he leads his own Felix Slim Blues Band, delivering a captivating blend of 1950s and 1960s electric blues, swing, r&b, and early soul/funk.
