Soundings

'Soundings' is Simon Scott's debut studio album for Touch after releasing the live album 'Floodlines' and 'Below Sea Level'. Scott, the drummer for shoegaze band Slowdive, comes as a composer and sound ecologist. He uses field recordings from various cities around the globe, composing modular synthesizer treatments and adds live strings and laptop electronics to create an album of transition and shifting time zones. Most of the field recordings were recorded and edited while he was on tour with Slowdive.
