Schulze, Klaus -& Rainer Bloss-
Drive Inn 1 & Drive Inn 2 (2cd)
In his long career, Klaus Schulze has entered into numerous highly interesting collaborations. In Rainer Bloss, whom Klaus met when he sent him a demo tape, he found a partner who had the right musical requirements. Rainer Bloss was a trained musician and composer who composed and produced numerous soundtracks for films and music for plays in the former German Democratic Republic before moving to West Germany. During the long car rides between performances, the two musicians were often annoyed that there was hardly any music for long car rides on the radio - and so the idea was born to record an album that was suitable for this purpose. Produced in September 1983, 'Drive Inn' is a concept album with every track centered around driving. This concept was taken up again three years later on 'Drive Inn 2'. For the first time, these two albums in this series have been remastered and reissued after being unavailable for decades.
