'Drifts And Surfaces' is a three-piece set, each work commissioned and united by themes of ephemeral movement, everyday stasis, and the balance between extraordinary and mundane beauty in the 21st century. Saxl blends chamber music with analog synths and digital experimentation, focusing on textural emotion and small actions. Unlike her 2021 LP 'The Blue Of Distance,' which used natural recordings, this project primarily draws from live percussion.
