Saucedo, Rick
Heaven Was Blue (2lp)
Here is the first ever legit vinyl reissue of Rick Saucedo's 1978 mind-expanding, multi-tracked one-man private press miracle in sound, 'Heaven Was Blue'. Rick Saucedo was an actor, singer-songwriter and Elvis tribute artist from Chicago who had the desire to release an album with his own songs. Though influenced by The Beatles and Pink Floyd, the result was a truly odd record in the vein of a.o. Darius, Marcus, D.R. Hooker, Bobb Trimble and Michael Angelo. The center piece of the LP was the 18-minute title track, but most songs are shorter and psychy, and a few Elvis influences also are evident. All instruments on the album were played by Rick, with a couple of friends helping him out. This expanded DOUBLE-VINYL reissue offers a full extra album of bonus tracks. WOW!!!
