'Obstacles' is the 2021 full-length from trumpeter and composer Pete Rodriguez, son of the famed salsero Pete "El Conde" Rodriguez. The album was recorded as a way to confront Pete's obstacles and working through them in a healthy way, by channeling his emotions and feelings into art. On this work Pete Rodriguez is joined by John Ellis (tenor and soprano saxophone), Luis Perdomo (piano and keyboards), Ricardo Rodriguez (bass) and drummer Rudy Royston.
