Rainbow Press
There's A War On
A reissue of a cool US psychedelic concept album from 1968 with all the right moves, including solid songwriting, refreshing harmonies, studio effects, organ, fuzz guitar, electric piano, sunshine and baroque touches. Think Rainy Daze, Strawberry Alarm Clock, The Doors... The Rainbow Press evolved from The Continental Divide, a British invasion inspired college band from New York. In 1968 the band secured a contract with Audio Fidelity's "hip" branch Mr. G Records, which resulted in two excellent studio albums of which this is the first one. Featuring remastered sound, this first ever legit reissue includes an insert with liner notes, telling the complete story of The Rainbow Press.
