Set To Ride
Yawning on the open road, a galactic sigh. Smoke on the (water) windshield. Tracing figures in the ground and losing it again. Wide open. Neu! under a hair dryer. Thrown overboard during the storm. A "psychedelic trip", like they say. Grounded, free, a waft of glitter guitar, a broken mirror. "Jam Rawk", but not a dirty phrase in their capable hands. Keep those hands on the wheel and drive on. The light gets dim and things seem to fade in and out. Rewind the tape and start all over again. Feedback is righteous. Muttered words/threats/promises? Whatever, this is a very nice ride and the seats go back. This is Psychedelic Dirt. This is punk rock, space rock, drug rock, hard rock, yes it is rock. It's fun and inspiring, it makes you want to stay up late. A good old fashioned floggin to the noggin. Oh yes. This music feels like the mountains and the prairies simultaneously. I don't know what that means and that's ok. A dragon strafing a quiet lake with blown fire, if you're a prog freak. Waving. Keep driving on into the approaching daylight. It doesn't have to end. You can always start at the beginning and do it all over again. Music, when done this well, is a friend.You'll never truly be alone. Psychedelic Dirt. They care.
