Pink Floyd
From Oblivion, Vol. 1
'LIVE IN SAN DIEGO, OCTOBER 17TH, 1971 - RADIO BROADCAST' - Part 1. The live session presented here show the band just before they were crowned concept kings, on the third day of their tour, about two weeks before the release of their album 'Meddle.' The tour is the culmination of Floyd's transformation from the psych era to '70s acid blues jam, when the band were more concerned with sound art than literary construction. The free-form 'The Embryo' breaks through the sense of entrapment that can be created by a performance that is so complete that it feels like a blockade. It's a blessing beyond human understanding that such a great sound has survived! Comes on blue vinyl.
