Founded in Kent in the late sixties, Pig Rider and its many off shoots have seen nearly 60 different players. Original members Colin Kitchener and John Mayes however have always been constant factors. This is a vinyl reissue of their unofficial LP 'Heterophonics', originally pressed by the English custom label Deroy as a very private edition of five acetates in 1975. The music is an amazing mix of psychedelic electric folk, acid folk and twisted pop with funny and/or bizarre lyrics, tape experimentation, notable effects and a stoned, homemade DIY vibe.
