"The summer of 2021 I traveled with my family to the northern parts of Sweden. I wanted them to experience the wild, windblown nature where I used to spend my childhood summers. When I saw my kids play by the very same streams, rocks and trees I played by as a child - the songs started to emerge. I wanted to honor my grandmother and her heritage by using the names of places given to them by the Sámi people." The critically praised and the ever-evolving Swedish musician, composer and artist Daniel Ögren (Dina Ögon, Sven Wunder) lives in the shadow of his music and while he's still mostly unknown by the great mass his music has started to gather a strong alliance of followers and fascinated listeners. This special and characteristic music has its roots in South American folk music, soul, nordic folk music, psychedelic pop music, obscure soundtracks and improvisations, but when you listen to Ögren's music it's very hard to define it. It seems familiar, ancient and alien at the same time. With cinematic gestures he manages to create a completely new universe full of strange and fascinating life. Limited to 200 copies.
