Novoa/carter/mela Trio, Vol.1

Brooklyn-based pianist and composer Eva Novoa has launched the Novoa / Carter / Mela Trio, debuting their album Vol. 1 on November 22, 2024. The album, Novoa's third with 577 Records, features saxophonist Daniel Carter and drummer Francisco Mela. Recorded at Sear Sound in NYC, it highlights Novoa's mastery of piano, Fender Rhodes, electric harpsichord, and even Chinese gongs. Tracks like "Aire" and "Fuego" draw on the four elements, while "Hasta Mañana Vida Mia" fuses Cuban tradition with vibrant rhythms and vocals by Mela. A Barcelona native, Novoa has electrified NYC's music scene since 2012. Vol. 1 promises eclectic, free-flowing interplay and sets the stage for future volumes.
