Nova, Paul
Trees Without Leaves (2cd)
Following the 2012 double-LP release of this holy grail of minimal/synth/'80s cold wave music, here's a deluxe double-CD reissue, presented in a tri-fold digipack. Paul Nova started his career in the realm of minimal/synth music in 1980 with the band Bizarre Unit, leading to the legendary 7-inch 'Dancing' b/w 'Away From The Screaming Car' in 1981. In 1982 he founded his own label Exhibit One Records, on which he issued two 7-inches, a 12-inch and an LP within three years. Now all these wonderful and fascinating tracks are included on this double-CD, which also contains more than 30 minutes of recently discovered and previously unreleased tracks, including some demos. This is a MUST-HAVE for every serious collector of bands like the early Human League, or Fad Gadget and other early '80s Mute releases.
