Nichols, Roger
Roger Nichols & The Small Circle Of Friends
Back in the '60s Roger Nichols was a respected songwriter who contributed to the successes of a.o. The Carpenters, The Monkees and even Frank Sinatra. Unfortutaley his own debut-album, recorded (in 1968 for A&M) with Melinda and Murray MacLeod (a.k.a. the Small Circle Of Friends), highly rated studio musicians including Van Dyke Parks, and sound engineer Bruce Botnick, sank without a trace. Nevertheless, the LP fits in perfectly with legendary albums s.a. Love's 'Forever Changes' and The Beach Boys' 'Pet Sounds'. This CD-reissue includes three bonus tracks.
