Mr. Blackwatch's 'Mary, Me' is an unapologetic concept album/rock opera à la The Who's 'Quadrophenia', or 'Animals' by Pink Floyd. It could well have been released in 1973, though its story is set firmly in the present. The album tells the story of one woman's life, from the cradle to grave. Spanning 16 songs in two acts and - apparently - decades in the making, 'Mary, Me' was conceived and produced by Tacoma's Doug Mackey. The deluxe package includes two CDs, a forward by U of Iowa Writers Workshop alum Craig Awmiller, plus a 24-page illustrated booklet of lyrics.
