Millie

My Boy Lollipop

Millicent Dolly May Small, known to the world as Millie Small, had a handful of minor local Jamaican hits under her belt when the legendary Chris Blackwell took her under his wing, and to London, in 1963. There they cut the Ernest Ranglin arranged version of 'My Boy Lollipop' that would make her an international star. Though 'My Boy Lollipop' was her biggest hit, Millie was no "one-hit wonder" and this classic Blue Beat LP from 1964 is chock full of dance floor fillers. Essential. TRACKS: A1. My Boy Lollipop A2.
