Though the band hails from Adelaide, The Meatbeaters' heavy, relentless assault most of all recalls their Melbourne mates The Powder Monkeys or Cosmic Psychos/Onyas, laced with bits of Motörhead. Unlike those bands, however, they're barely known outside of their home country, even though they've been killin' it for two decades with a hearty stack of stellar releases. This comp aims to right that wrong and score The Meatbeaters some international acclaim with a selection of 11 band originals, some of which are making their first appearance on vinyl here.
