Madhouse
Serve 'em
Mega rare and sought after Patrick Adams produced killer LP from 1972! This is one helluva FUNK album! The set's got a feel that's much more like the Detroit work on the Westbound label than other records on the Today label - no surprise, given that group leader Mudbone later worked with BOOTSY COLLINS in The Rubber Band! The style here is a bit more freewheeling than P-Funk, though - really jamming at times, with raw guitar, wild horn parts, and long tracks that blend together bits of funk, (acidy) rock, and electric jazz! Titles include the break-heavy and highly TRIPPY suite 'Last Apocalypse', plus 'Nixon's Ego Trip', 'Great Debate', 'Get Some Of This', and 'Serve 'Em'. A hidden gem!
