Las Palabras
Fe
Las Palabras is Rafael Cohen's Spanish-language solo project, showcasing the Mexican-American artist's roots and blending Latin alternative sounds with introspective themes on faith and doubt. His second album, 'Fe,' is Cohen's first release with Barcelona label La Castanya. Written and produced in his Brooklyn studio, the album is mixed by Adrian Quesada (Black Pumas), who enhances its warm, vintage feel. 'Fe' features nylon guitar, electric bass, and a mix of hip hop, bachata, and '70s Brazilian funk, with rhythms by Chris Egan and Alberto Lopez. Cohen's influences range from Sade to eighties electro-funk, creating a textured, intimate sound.
