2025 album from Oakland based Madeline Kenney following on from 'A New Reality Mind' (2023), 'Sucker's Lunch' (2020) and 'Perfect Shapes' (2018). 'Kiss From The Balcony' is a bold, emotionally rich exploration of growth, power, and self-realization. Created with Ben Sloan and Stephen Patota over a few intensive sessions in Oakland, the record evolved from an EP into a full-length album filled with layered sonic textures - from experimental percussion to acoustic guitar. Blending metaphor, vulnerability, and feminist critique, Kenney reflects on love, heartbreak, and agency with a sense of playful resilience. It's a cohesive, genre-blurring step forward in her artistic journey, embracing both the absurd and the profound.
