Jackson Sisters
I Believe In Miracles
An awesome 12-inch featuring three mixes of THE JACKSON SISTERS' 1976 rare groove classic 'I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES'. Taken off their equally classic s/t sole LP, this is an unbelievably catchy track, with an irresistible drive and superb vocals. The Jackson Sisters were an American soul and disco family group that hailed from Compton, California, but was based in Detroit, Michigan. They recorded material for the Tiger Lily (tax scam!)-label, obtaining some modest success in the 1970s with this unique single. The group was rediscovered nearly a decade later, during the emergence of the UK's rare groove scene. Ever since those days the five sisters are the stuff of which (cult-)legends are made. Take the most enjoyable elements of the (family-wise unrelated) Jackson Five, the energy of the early Pointer Sisters, a spoonful of Supremes/Marvelettes pop sensibility, the soul of Aretha Franklin, some truly first class songwriting, a production that's both bright and perfectly unpolished and five unique voices, and you still won't be able to imagine how great this song is!
