Tunes Of War (2lp)

German heavy metal band Grave Digger was formed in 1980 by Chris Boltendahl and Peter Masson and is considered one of the "big four" of German power metal. In 1996 came the first release of their medieval trigology, 'Tunes Of War'. This concept album told the story of the Scottish Jacobite rebellion of the 18th century. The trilogy continues with 1998's 'Knights Of The Cross' and 'Excalibur' from 1999. The album features backing vocals by Hansi Kürsch, lead singer of Blind Guardian. Comes on a 2LP set on 180 gram vinyl.
