'Metals,' a double EP of sorts: two sides of wax with two separate titles, 'And Away' on side one backed with 'Tilts' on side two. Each set is a study in using mechanical means to seek tone, rhythm and texture via unexpected objects and instruments. Both sides feature Scott's custom made Spinning Plate Instrument [SPI]. The SPI is a large, motorised vertical frame that spins a series of metal plates. These can be struck via midi - mechanical 'beaters'.
