Was that Krautrock or what? Gate's music is experimental, but not heavy on improvisation. Complex, often tricky, hardly danceable, but always strictly arranged, even in solos there was little or no free space. In 1977, the Brain label released the album 'Gate Live', one year later followed by 'Red Light Sister'. Now both Gate albums come remastered on a double CD set, with liner notes about the history of the band, written by Gate guitarist Manfred Schröpfer, and many rare photos from the period 1974 - 1981.
