Dudek, Les -& Polar Bear-
Record Plant, Sausalito, Ca 1974
Les Dudek has to be one of the most prolific sidemen ever to ingrain themselves in the music scene of the '70s and '80s. Still, he remains a relatively unknown axeman, despite his enormous talent and widespread involvement with acts such as Boz Scaggs, the Steve Miller Band, and the Allman Brothers Band, amongst others. At the time of this recording from the Record Plant, Sausalito on November 10, 1974, Dudek was still touring Scaggs' 'Slow Dancer' album and making a guest appearance in Pittsburgh with the ABB. Together with dynamite, goodtime jams, Dudek brings embryonic versions of material that would feature on his acclaimed 1976 s/t debut and its follow-up 'Say No More' from 1977. Rox Vox presents a stunning set by this legendary guitarist and southern rock giant in his prime.
