Thoughts Of You (black)
Salvator Dragatto's debut LP, 'Thoughts of You' (released via Colemine Records), captures the essence of love, longing, and obsession through a noir-inspired lens. Drawing parallels between black-and-white photography and his recording process, Dragatto (aka Joseph Reina) embraces imperfections like tape hiss and dirty EQs, much like film grain and dust in photography. The album pays homage to visual and cinematic influences such as André Kertész, Robert Frank, Jean-Luc Godard, and René Groebli, blending powerful horn lines with delicate string passages. The result is a series of emotive themes and vignettes that reflect the drama and allure of black-and-white imagery. Black vinyl version.
