Founded in Montreal in 2014, in full boom of the Californian garage scene, Double Date With Death took its first steps by their garage-punk, inspired by John Dwyer and Ty Segall. They began writing in English, but soon switched over to French lyrics. On this album, recorded by Guillaume Chiasson (Ponctuation, Jesus les filles, Bon Enfant, The Blaze Velluto Collection), the Quebecers have superbly produced their songs and sound, which makes 'L'Au-Dela' a perfect invitation to discover this Montreal trio.
