On 'Op Onbevaren Wateren' Dorpsstraat 3 sets out to discover new territories in crafting their songs sonically as well as in song structure. Creating percussion with only kitchen tools on a song about someone's last hours on death row, using an old casio sampler to evoke the feeling of sailing on open waters. Every song brings something new to the eclectic mix of influences ranging from folk music to Bollywood soundtracks and contemporary artists like Molchat Doma and Nick Cave. Blending this all together, still sounding unmistakable like themselves with the same DIY ethos and their reverb soaked analog synth sounds.
