Collins, Albert
Love Can Be Found Anywhere
Now available as a 45rpm vinyl LP-reissue is a groovy 1968 album by blues artist Albert Collins. On 'Love Can Be Found Anywhere' he definitely adopted the funky r&b Hammond vibe (while peppering his Texas Twang over top). There's a sensitive homage to The Meters on the lead off track 'Do The Sissy' while some other cuts have a definitive Booker vibe. All in all, this is an amazing blend of r&b and soul, but at the same time the music never really shies away from Collins' blues roots.
