'Sudden Fruit' is an intriguing collaboration between Japanese-born, Berlin-based minimalist/electronic musician Midori Hirano and respected Russian-born, French-based experimental musician, sound artist and engineer Ivan Pavlov a.k.a. COH. Certain tracks, f.i. the title piece 'Sudden Fruit', lean more toward Intelligent Dance Music than ambient, and as the album progresses, Pavlov's sonic textures reveal a striking narrative power, imbuing the work with unexpected depth.
