A flower has just bloomed. It's a black flower of the cavemen, that is the second album by the beatniks from Ravenna issued by Teen Sound records as the previous one, " il buio è tra di noi" "Fore nero"is the evolution and the growth which the band has had during these years taking them in the way of pure italian beat. Original songs marked by a strong communicative attitude and genuine frankness taking turns at some jewels from the 60s as "il capellone" by Michel Poinareff, "il treno della morte" by the legendary jaguars and "prima cera luce" by the first New Trolls. Powerfull, vigorous, restless pieces marked by biting riffs as that in "fiore nero" which entitles the album, "Lora delle streghe" soaked with melody and a direct and essential approach, dry and plain sound characterize, "Io sto qui" with pleasant melodic lines and genuine, never predictable texts so as in "Sogno". We sink into quivering raids, shakes in the amusing "tutti x 1" and tex-mex adventures in the instrumental ride of "Mexicali " with the guest Diego Frabetti at the trumpet. Harsh sprinkles of a vintage keyboards enrich the sound in the dreamyng "il cielo" and in the more psychadelic one "Il lungo addio". Arragements by a pure beat spirit attended by the "Avvoltoi" number one Moreno Spirogi, guest vocalist in "Non mi odiar". The cavemen play united and get on well together powerfull with that disrespectfull and sincere attitude which makes them worthy heirs af all those italian bands of the sixities. If anyone ever had a time machine, this is certainly one of the cavemen. That with "Fiore nero " will take you in the middle of the sixities in one unforgettable beat springtime made of wild dances, love, lightheartedness and rebellion.
