Scottish pop group Buffet Lunch, active since 2017, return with their third album, 'Perfect Hit!,' released via Upset the Rhythm just six months after their last record. The band, featuring members from Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Newcastle, recorded the album in the West Highlands during Leap Year week 2024 with new members Matthew Lord and Jack Shearer, alongside founding members Perry O'Bray and Luke Moran. The album blends playful pop, rich melodies, and increased guitar complexity, while lyrically exploring personal themes like ancestry, parenthood, and identity, as well as offbeat topics like full-face tattoos, historical figures, and swordfish sightings. With most tracks recorded live, Perfect Hit! captures the band's energetic and spontaneous spirit - fun to make, and even more fun to hear. Released on yellow vinyl.
