Blodwyn Pig
At The Bbc 1969-70
Blodwyn Pig were formed by Mick Abrahams after he left Jethro Tull. Of these twelve tracks recorded for the BBC, four songs are included which did not appear on either of the studio LPs the band recorded for Island Records in 1969 and 1970. Throughout Abrahams demonstrates his considerable abilities as a blues-based guitarist whilst incorporating jazz and folk influences with multi-instrumentalist Jack Lancaster. Comes with full recording details and extensive sleeve notes. Sound quality is exceptional, except 'It's Only Love,' 'Same Old Story,' 'See My Way' and 'Meaney Mornay' which are very good and 'Rock Me Baby,' which is acceptable.
