Saturday Club 31st March 1964 (pt. 1)
The Beatles recorded seven songs for BBC's 'Saturday Club' on the evening of March 31st, 1964, three of which were covers of American rock'n'roll and country and western songs. Earlier on the same day, the group had been filming a live performance at the Scala Theatre in Kings Cross that would be included in their forthcoming film 'A Hard Days Night'. The fourth track on this EP, 'The Hippy Hippy Shake', is taken from the 'Saturday Club' show transmitted on February 15th.
